Seattle University’s Player of the Week is Bean! “Bean is the captain of our team and our hearts. Ask anyone and they’ll tell you she’s a breathing, smiling, rugging ray of sunshine. This scrumhalf is a super dedicated and inspiring member of our team! ‘One of my favorite parts is how positive playing rugby is for women. I so totally appreciate that the rules aren’t softened or dumbed down for women, and that rugby works with women’s bodies instead of against them!!! It’s a great sport for all body types and skill levels!! I also think it gives women specifically, a lot of confidence…when I first started playing rugby, I was incredibly timid about it, but as I continued to practice, I became a lot more confident in not only my skills, but also myself. All in all, I’ve gotta say that #rugbychangeslives !!!
